Minis Tournament - Sunday 24th March 2024

That's another season finished for the Minis Section. Roll on the next which starts in September.

The final tournament of the season took place on Sunday 24th March 2024 at Old Loughtonians HC.

*U10 Girls*
A great end to the season today, some tough games but lots of smiles at the end with the medals - see picture for evidence!

It was good to see us fielding two teams in this tournament even with some unavailable which shows the depth we have in this age group.

A big thank you to @⁨Marit Breuk⁩ for taking one of the teams. It has been a pleasure coaching the U10 girls, especially as over the course of the season there has been progression from everyone in the group improving their hockey basics but most rewarding are the friendships and team play which are clearly evident.

Good luck to those moving up to U12s next season. Hopefully we will still see you all at Minis training on the 14th, 21st and 28th April before we finish up for this season. Rob

*U12 Girls*
The U12 girls have improved their performances at every tournament. They started well and just got better and better! Culminating in an unbeaten strong performance on Sunday.

Four wins and one draw (slightly controversially since an obvious goal scored by Imogen P was disallowed).

Best wishes to Zoe who has moved to south west London. She informs us that Surbiton HC have already signed her up on a new contract!
