Brentwood draw after an eight goal thriller with 4th spot league holders East London in last Saturdays home game to secure a vital point and continuing their unbeaten run, remaining top of the league!

Both teams came out in full force but Brentwood secured the early lead with James Duggan finding the back board after a well drilled short corner routine. East London bounce back immediately and clinically converted 2 goals from 2 defensive errors within 5 minutes of each other. East London’s 3rd shortly followed and Brentwood were on the back foot. The team stepped up another gear and pushed East London back to their own half for the final 10 minutes of the 1st half. To their credit they pulled back the 2 gaol deficit to square the score line 3-3 by half time. Cash Gleeson smashing the ball home for the 2nd and Stephen Naven executing from a short corner routine for the 3rd.
The second half saw yellow cards given for both teams leaving 20 men to battle it out for 10 minutes. Once the players returned and with 15 minutes left before full time East London found the net after the ball was drilled in from the right hand side across the D. Brentwood remained calm and through some pressurised play and good passing managed to secure a vital point with their 4th goal, securing 1 point and the league leadership. Again Stephen Naven converting the 4th and bringing his goal tally to 6 in the last 2 games.
