East Mens sivison 2 S
Brentwood maintain their winning form.
Brentwood entertained Luton Town at their home ground last Saturday and secured another valuable 3 points.
The home side applied immediate pressure pushing Luton Town into their own half and securing an early goal from Ian Forbes, who flicked the ball into the roof of the net and over the head of the advancing keeper. Moments earlier Forbes was awarded a flick which was calmly saved by the Luton Town keeper. Brentwood advanced further and Nick Hull slotted home the teams 100th goal of the season with superb run to the far post to convert a well drilled ball across the face of the goal. Vice Captain James Duggan converted the 3rd goal with some great stick skills in the D to slip past the keeper.
Luton Town had a lucky break away 5 minutes from half time and by catching out the snoozing Brentwood defence , managed to crash the ball past keeper Ian Malone. Brentwood immediately responded by scoring their 4 goal. A superb execution by Rob Cousins, his first of the season after his recent signing.
The second half saw Brentwood retain most of the possession and secure a further 2 goals from Duggan and Cousins. Final score Brentwood 6 Luton Town 1.
Brentwood now move into Joint 1st position with Chelmsford but are behind on goal difference. With 2 games of the season left, Brentwood have everything to play for.
Next week the eagles take on mid table Bedford away before their final game of the season against 3rd position Broxbourne.
