The Ladies’ 2s first game of the season was at home against Wapping 3s. Being in a new league, with a fairly new team and a new formation the team knew that the game was going to be tough. Early pressure from Wapping saw the home team concede a couple of early goals but Brentwood remained in the game with periods of really good hockey. A well worked goal scored by Kayleigh Mills gave the team some hope but the score line finished 1-5 to the home team. Some excellent keeping saw Helen pick up the MoM and despite the loss, the teams’ work rate was a major positive to take from the game. Next weeks’ game is away to Chelmsford 3s (15:30 Chelmer Park)
