Ladies 2s

This week Brentwood 2s took on Romford on home soil. Before the pushback the team were in high spirits…we had our coach Ian to help us from the sideline, the sun was shining and the team sheet implied a rare sub for the Ladies 2s. However by the time pushback came our spirits were literally and metaphorically dampened with the onset of heavy rain and only 10 players on the pitch. Despite this, Brentwood started out strong, trying to retain possession and build up the attack as a team. Romford managed to counter though and were up 2 goals at half time. A half time team talk by coach Ian refocused the team and the Brentwood 2s started the second half determined to improve on their first half performance and play good simple hockey. The second half saw Brentwood dominate the possession and play some great hockey. Everybody on the pitch worked their socks off, and despite the final score being 0-3, the teams’ performance was the best so far this season.
